NEWSFLASH!
The Federation of Motor Clubs, of which we are a member, has circulated interesting news: "Last week the new Minister of Transport, Hon. Chris Bishop, announced that the government is proposing to consult on changes to Transport Rules to allow vintage and classic light vehicles (over 40 years old) to have annual Warrants of Fitness, thereby reducing compliance costs and inconvenience for owners."
Watch for details on the consultation process.

307 Purchas Rd. Amberley - 1pm briefing.
Purchas Rd on left 6km north of Amberley on SH1. Care at railway crossing!
Midday (12pm) sausage sizzle, coffee/tea provided by the Club. Start 1.00pm.
Test your skills driving around flagged poles on a paddock.
Four driving tests - great fun! Timed events - racing against the clock.
NZ Motor Sport fee etc.: $15/competing driver. Non-club members welcome - $20/competitor. Pay cash at event.
Time keepers, recorders, judges are obviously very welcome.

Depart Cashmere Club - 10.15am (Note - NOT 10.30am)
Shorter day but plenty of interest, information & colour. Short drive for a visit, then Halswell Quarry for lunch under the trees. BYO picnic lunch. No morning tea stop. $5p.p. - cash only. Website/emails for any changes, or contact organisers

3. Sunset Run - Sat 1st Mar. (note: not the usual Sunday).
Depart The Peg - 6.30pm
A gentle run (approx. 15 mins) to a pleasant spot for sunset watching. Bring a seat, binoculars (not for looking at the Sun!) and something to nibble and sip while watching the sun go down.

Meeting from 8am with briefing and scrutineering.
Timed track events - standing 1/4 mile, autocross, 2 x m/khana events on seal, full circuit sprints.
For some it is an MG weekend together in Timaru; for others a great day trip to be part of our 'MG exclusive' event. "The "BEST" day's fun on four wheels."
Entry: Open to all MGCC members driving a road legal MG (Wof & registered).
