NOTICES and COMING EVENTS

1. MG Club Christmas Buffet Dinner - see 12th Dec. details below.

(i) Note: $55/person to the club account by 5th December i.e. FRIDAY NEXT WEEK.

(ii) Note: The gathering time is now between 6 and 7pm to allow Richmond Club time to organise after a lunch/afternoon function.

(iii) Note: If you have not got the club account already saved:

Importantly there is a space between the 'M' and the 'G' otherwise the club name will be only partially recognised by your bank. Hopefully one day this might be able to be corrected.

2. National Rally

(i) Registrations are now closed off - 64 cars. The organisers will accept registrations that are prepared to go on a waiting list - but with no guarantee of acceptance.

(ii) For those attending the National Rally - the organisers have emailed all attending a Teretonga Day questionnaire seeking a final indication of involvement or otherwise (on the track, time keeper etc.). This is to be completed and returned a.s.a.p.. It also has a checklist of what scrutineers will be needing to see for cars going on the track - and finding out where equipment might need to be loaned. FRI. 12th DEC. - Club Christmas Dinner

Arrive from 6.00pm for 7.00pm buffet meal ($55) - Richmond Club

A fun, social celebration of Christmas, and of the past year.

Enjoy a great time.

While not required, do think about wearing Christmas attire or Christmas colour - it all adds to the shared enjoyment of the evening - and you may just win a small prize!

Bring $5 or $10 or ... of actual money. Raffle tickets will be available with winners drawn 'on the night'.

If you are a performer e.g. play an instrument or have an interesting skill, Paul would love to hear from you!!

$55/person with booking required by pre-payment to the Club bank account - no later than Friday 5th December!

Welcome!

The MG Car Club Canterbury Centre has its roots in the original 'MG Car Club of New Zealand', formed in 1952 when many of the country's motorsport enthusiasts drove our favourite marque in the shape of TCs, TAs, Ps and Js.

From those early beginnings the NZ Club has devolved into four major Centres, two in the North Island and two in the South. Each of these Centres is autonomous, organising competitive and social events for members within its regions. Like the 'Crusaders' our region includes Nelson, Marlborough and the West Coast as well as Canterbury. There are also a range of inter-Centre and national activities you are able to enjoy. And of course, if you are visiting another region you will be most welcome to participate in any of their events, competitive or social.

Like most MG Clubs around the world we are affiliated to the MGCC UK ensuring access to badging, logos and so on. We also maintain regular contact with a number of Centres in NZ, Australia, the US and the UK to help ensure we offer the best possible benefits and MG enjoyment for all of our members.
